We just got home from dinner and I suddenly remembered that N. needed to pick the name of the birthday earring contest winner out of a hat...well, bowl actually. He was very excited and is now writing down names of his friends to put in a bowl for me to pick one! I don't know what he's planning to send to his friend.

I'm off to have some birthday pumpkin pie. N. asked for that instead of birthday cake, and that was fine with me. This has been a really nice birthday.
