A purchase.
I bought this Wildflower Necklace from Nova of Sweden.
I love the little flower in the Chinese Picture Jasper. Do you see it?

Etsy Favorite: Bijougirl
I received some gifts from Amanda Conley's shop for my birthday and also for Christmas from my in-laws. I really like the flowers in her designs as well as the classic simplicity.
I find myself reaching for this bangle bracelet quite often as it seems to go with everything.
One day I might have to add these earrings to my jewelry collection.
A few more pieces...

I believe are supposed to receive a lot of snow today/tonite. N has his hopes up for a snow day tomorrow!

Etsy Favorite: Rosy Revolver
Rosy Revolver is a shop I found very recently and purchased something from right away. I'm so smitten with Jess's designs! I saw the Everyday Earrings in the sold items section and asked Jess if she could make a pair for me. We had very nice convos, which made the experience that much better.
They arrived in a pretty package along with a wonderful thank you note.
Several of the items I'm going to show you are already sold, but are so pretty I still wanted to show you them.

I almost bought these studs at the time I bought my earrings. I have a feeling they'll be a future purchase.
Until next time...

Etsy Favorite: Anne Holman
Anne Holman's shop has been in my favorites for a while now. I first added her when I came across her map jewelry, which are made with vintage maps. I'd like to have one with a map of Chicago.
But I also really love the pieces she makes with antique glass.
And anything with filigree and antiqued silver captures my attention.
But most of all, I'd like to add this piece to my collection.
Damask design, antiqued silver, and antique glass all in one piece. Sigh.

Etsy Favorite: Rachel Loves Bob
I haven't shared any of my Etsy favorites in a while. I think these button embroideries from Rachel Loves Bob are great and wanted to share them with you. Most of us who love beads also have a healthy appreciation for buttons.
I've had this bird in my favorites for a while. It would look very nice in my house.
I like that the empty spaces are filled in with beads! Very clever.
I'm hoping to get back into blogging a bit more regularly. Hopefully it will motivate me to start making stuff; if not, I'll show you more of my favorite things on Etsy!

Etsy Favorite: Skylark Studio
It's been a long time since I posted about one of my Etsy favorites! Skylark Studios is a very recent addition to my list. Karen also has a wonderful blog. Clicking on the photos below should take you to the listing in her shop.
OK, let's get to it! I love Art Nouveau and big hoops. I'm really wanting these earrings.
This peacock feather necklace is so different.
I love cherry blossoms!
I think I've told you that we decorated N's nursery with bumblebees. He thinks this necklace is pretty cool.
I really like the pattern of these earrings.
This pin is very sweet.
Karen's photos have a nice contrast between the dark wood and bright silver. She has many more wonderful things in her shop. I had a hard time deciding which pieces to feature.
Let me know what you think!

Flowers.
Today it actually felt like winter might give way to spring.
I'm looking forward to seeing some green outside one day soon. It seems like it's been a long winter in Chicagoland.
Have a pleasant weekend.

Etsy Favorite: Sarah Blank Studios
It's been a while since I've shared a favorite Etsy shop with you and this week I'm excited to introduce you to Sarah Blank Studios. I've admired Sarah's work for some time. When she started putting her prints into vintage lockets I checked her shop often, waiting for the one that would speak to me.
And then she wrote on her blog that she would be posting this pretty butterfly locket. I stalked her shop and was lucky. Have I mentioned that I love lockets? All of the beautiful photos in this post are from Sarah's shop.
It's even prettier in person. I might switch it to a necklace for a while. Then I can change it back to a brooch. Aren't the prints inside pretty?
If you are looking for a locket, this sweet cameo is still in her shop. Sarah is not planning to make more lockets, so this might be your last chance.
This sketchbook has two of Sarah's original artworks inside.
Some of my favorite prints from her shop.

This weekend N. is going to his very first sleep over at a friend's house in our neighborhood. I'm trying not to be a little sad about it. He is growing up so fast! The bright side is that Mark and I can go out on a date.
Maybe I'll be struck by some beading inspiration, too.

Etsy Favorite: Simone Walsh
When I first started my obsession with Etsy, Simone Walsh's shop was one of my favorites to visit. It still is. Her skills with a jeweler's saw are amazing. I loved her work from afar until she launched her newest Victorian-inspired line. Love.
As soon as I saw this frame pendant I had to have it. The contrast between the darkened silver chain and brighter silver pendant is very nice. So pretty. Can I say it again? Love.
More favorites from her shop...

Her friendly e-mails and speedy service made the purchase that much more enjoyable. Simone has an interesting blog as well where she shares what she is working on and sometimes shares some photos of Australia, where she lives.
I'm off to spend the day with a friend. Enjoy your Sunday!
