Embellished.

I added some crystal sequins to the bead embroidered leather pouch. It was fun to do because it was very free form.

The amount of sparkle on this in hypnotizing. I might have overdone it a little with the crystal sequins. Maybe.

I need to get to JoAnn Fabrics today to buy a thimble. The next step involves stitching through more layers of leather and my thumb was bleeding after just a few passes.

How is it that I do not own one thimble?

You probably owned a thimble at one time or another and it is tucked away some where so you won't misplace it...lol. I do that to myself all the time. I don't think it is overdone at all! It's lovely, you're doing a great job.

It's lovely, it turned out very well. I suppose you can't use a leather needle because it's to thick for the beads?

Thanks, everyone! I bought a thimble yesterday, so I'm all set. I'm using a glover's needle, which is made for leather. It's still hard to push through the leather. It's a size 12 needle, so maybe it's hard because it's not a heavy needle.

I have hand sewn leather in the past and it just sucks, lol.

I think there's just enough crystal sequins :)

Ouchy! sorry for the bleeding fingers but it does look gorgeous! It's worth it. Btw, you say you're more into FB at Jamee's blog. Quick, what's your profile name so I can add you?

Check into "glovers needles" for sewing in leather. They work quite well for beading on leather. And I don't think the crystals were overdone - they look wonderful!
