The 100-year old boy.

Today is the 100th day of school. To celebrate, the children are dressing up as 100-year old people. It's hard to tell from this photo, but N. has baby powder in his hair to make it grey. I think this trick would work better if his hair was darker.

He's reading a news magazine, because "that's what old people read." He had fun hobbling around and acting old this morning. He wanted to know if I feel that old. Um, no, I don't. His next question was about whether or not his great-grandparents feel old. I like how he makes the leap from me to great-grandparents nearing 90, seemingly because we're practically the same age.

He was pretty spry this morning for a 100-year old boy.

I remember when my older son was young, younger than N. He wanted to know why his Nanny had all those lines on her face and did they hurt her? It took me a confused moment to realize he meant her wrinkles. I thought I would split my sides giggling about it later. :-)

Haha! I love their lack of association with age.

I always know when my kids start to describe someone, 'they were really, really old...', that they were about 20.
